Fowey CC

Fowey is the epitome of a Cornish coastal town narrow winding streets; close packed houses; views of the river and sea; harbour crammed with working and pleasure craft; beaches and river walks;and not forgetting, the squawk of local gulls - all that   people dream of, when they think of Cornwall!

Set at the mouth of the river which gave it its name,
Fowey has a long maritime history with a busy working port going back to the Middle Ages and an association       with the often brutal, but more often romanticised, smuggling  trade.  Today, it is a popular, unspoilt holiday resort as well as a busy community town.  Its local attractions include the Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature in May; a week long regatta and carnival in August with the infamous 'Red Arrows' always a major attraction.

The Cricket Club uses the school playing field located out of the back of the school. Because of the close relationship the club enjoys with the school, Fowey cricket club can boast very good facilities including an electronic scoreboard, a superb pavilion and indoor facilities. The club is going forward in the right direction under the current chairman Andrew Smith and the committee members. Facilities and overall standards continue to improve every year. Long may it continue!
